how to edit titel, creator, year ...

I'm probably stupid, but ... I've managed to add a pdf to the middle window. It's title shows as the document's name. But I can't edit a thing. Not creator, titel, name of journal ... How do I do that?

    Right click on it and select "Retrieve metadata for PDF". Zotero will try to find the information for the document automatically. If that doesn't work, you can right click and choose "Create parent item" instead to enter the information manually.

    Thank you. Both hints seem to work fine for my pdf's. But not for documents called "DownloadCitations" I get when I search Taylor & Francis' journals. They *do* contain (RIF-)information, but still - when dropped onto the main window) Zotero says "document contains no source information". When I choose to import them (via the cogwheel), they are accepted. Is that as it should be, or am I doing something wrong here?

    that's as it should be, but why are you not using the Zotero icon to import from Taylor and Franics? That'd be much easier and even attach the PDF where you have access:

    That's easy to explain: More often than not I get the "an error occurred"-response. (Zotero 4.0.28.8, Zotero Connector 4.0.28.) Since it works *sometimes* it's hard to find out why this occurs. In order to be able to use Zotero anyway I was looking for a workaround.

    we'd be very interested in an error report and the URL exactly as you see it posted right after that error occurs.

    It seems, Zotero does not accept tracker blocking. Or maybe AdBlocker.

    adblocker is fine, but tracker blocking would very likely break things, yes. Cookies are used for session authentication.
