Locator for margin numbers a.k.a. recitals
Many modern textbooks and scientific texts (at least in Germany and at least in the field of law) do use margin numbers a.k.a. recitals, i.e. a sequence of numbers on the outer margin of the page as a point of reference.
Zotero or the CSL has a fixed number of locators (book, chapter, column, figure, folio, issue, line, note, opus, page, paragraph, part, section, sub verbo, verse, volume).
It is a rather large list, but astonishingly there is no way to reference a margin number or recital.
It would be a great improvement if that option (support for referencing margin numbers) were added.

(I assume you're aware of this, but in most cases you can use a suffix as substitute for locators that aren't available.)

It is a SpringerLink “look inside” page from a German textbook (law).
On that page you can see the margin numbers (96, 97, 98) from that book itself.
In the footnotes you can see references to margin numbers in other works, in which "Rn." means "Randnummer" which is German for "margin number".
I just realized that it is an even more complicated problem because margin numbers sometimes restart each chapter. In those cases you need more than just the margin number but also a chapter reference (e.g. "Art. 2, Rn. 61").
Maybe I will just use the suffix field as you suggested.
How can I format the citation "prefix" and citation "suffix" (those from the Zotero insert citation dialog) with CSL?
Are those fields that I can access with my style?
For example:
I would like my style to check whether there is the citation "prefix" and if so to format it in italic and to add a suffix to it.
I would also like my style to check if my citation has a citation "suffix" and if so it should be parenthesis.
