Is there a basic user guide for ZotFile?

I have maxed out my storage and need to delete some attachments from my library, so I installed ZotFile to find some attachments to delete, but I do not see the list of my files that are in my Zotero library that supposedly ZotFile provides. There is no direction on the website and the developer, Joscha, strangely directs me here to get an answer to how to use his plug-in. Thank you for any guidance.

    What you describe doesn't exist, not in ZotFile and not elsewhere. ZotFile doesn't give you a list of files in Zotero.

    As for the root of your problem -- why don't you just disable file syncing if you don't need your files synced? That seems much easier than deleting files and it'd seem unfortunate to delete attachments that you presumably meant to store at some point.

    People may have directed you to ZotFile because it allows you to automatically move files out of Zotero storage and link them to the same item in Zotero (that function is well documented). That would be another way to reduce storage used.
    (Joscha is faculty at NYU, btw., so it's not really strange that he isn't able to provide individual support for ZotFile anymore).

    Thank you for clarifying that ZotFile does not do what I understood it to. Perhaps I can ask for that to be added as a feature -- the ability to see what I have in Zotero storage so files can be selectively deleted. I would think a lot of people would find that helpful.

    I DO need my files synced so disabling syncing is not an option.

    I assumed Joscha might be able to answer the question as he is still asking for donations for ZotFile.

    I mean -- I suppose you can sort by the attachments column in the middle panel of Zotero. Items with a full blue dot will sort first and have an attachment. Use the + key on your keyboard to expand all attachments. It'd be hard to make this much more accessible even with an add-on.
