Adding Library E-book to zotero

Hi, I am working with a professor who wants to add a PDF of an ebrary ebook to her zotero. However, this PDF is removed from her computer after two weeks (Ebrary allows ebook 'check-out times' for that long). If she adds it and it is removed, will her Zotero copy disappear as well? If so, what about any notes she has on that PDF? Thanks!

    Zotero just saves a copy of the file, so if that has some DRM stuff included that will make it disappear after x days, that will apply equally to the copy in Zotero including notes saved inside the PDF.

    The item metadata (bibliographic info) in Zotero will not be deleted, and that includes any Zotero notes. If you have notes in the PDF, you may be able to extract them using ZotFile. Since that creates Zotero notes, those wouldn't be deleted either.
