Translator for U.S. National Library of Medicine
Hello! I'd like to download documents from the Digital Collections of the U.S. National Library of Medicine to my Zotero library. However, it doesn't seem that there's a translator set up to do that with the U.S. NLM website (http://collections.nlm.nih.gov/). Do you know if a translator exists that I'm not aware of, or if there are other ways to download the OCR files and metadata from the U.S. NLM? Many thanks!

adamsmithwe can take a look, but the metadata they provide isn't that great (as opposed to, say, what we're getting on pubmed). Also won't be very fast.

marga_kempnerThanks so much! I'm doing textual analysis using digital tools, so it would be great to download the OCR text and Metadata (Dublin Core) that is available for each document. (There's also an option for PDF download, which would be helpful, but not entirely necessary.)

zuphilipThey also have a webservice for the metadata: http://collections.nlm.nih.gov/web_service

adamsmithgreat; unfortunately that's also the pretty limited/poor DC data, but we can make that work.

zuphilipYes, that should be possible. Moreover, @marga_kemper can use the webservice directly without waiting for a zotero translator, which may take its time.
