Style Request: Harvard-ISS Style (for the journal Development and Change)

Campbell, J. L. and O. K. Pedersen (2007) 'The Varieties of Capitalism and Hybrid Success', Comparative Political Studies, 40(3): 307–332.

Mares, I. (2001) 'Firms and the Welfare State: When, Why, and How Does Social Policy Matter to Employers?', in P. A. Hall & D. Soskice (eds) Varieties of Capitalism. The Institutional Foundations of Comparative Advantage, pp. 184–213. New York: Oxford University Press.

I am unable to italicise the font, but in the above examples both "Comparative Political Studies" and "Varieties of Capitalism. The Institutional Foundations of Comparative Advantage" should be italicised.

The journal that uses this style is called Development and Change. It's print ISSN is 0012-155X and its online ISSN is 1467-7660. I can't find an EISSN but its LCCN is 76018510 and its OCLC is 781557999.

The Author Guidelines for the journal can be found here: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1111/%28ISSN%291467-7660/homepage/ForAuthors.html

A sample copy of the journal should be available here: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/dech.2015.46.issue-1/issuetoc

Many thanks in advance, and hope to hear from someone soon!

should work decently well in the meantime: journal articles are exactly right. Book chapters may need some fine tuning.
  • That's great, thanks a lot for the quick response! Really appreciate this. Will there be an update on this discussion once it's up? Or will I need to just keep checking the database?
  • I'll post here when the style is up.
  • Great. Thanks!
  • Hi. I was just wondering whether this style is likely to be created before the 24th of December? Many thanks.
  • probably not, to be honest.
  • Ok, thanks. Is it possible to advise when this can be expected? Even if approximately (i.e. first half of next year, second half next year)?
  • It's really hard to say -- I do these in my spare time and after I've done work I get paid for. Currently the delay is substantial (i.e. around 1 year), but I hope to catch up (there was a longt time when I kept wait times under 2 months) and there's always the hope that someone else would chip in time. Given that, I really can't make much in terms of promises.
  • (@adamsmith: I may try to help on some of these style requests, also it is hard to say when exactly I have time for that. Are the issues on github the most urgent ones? Maybe also a "Help welcome" label could help to make the porpuse of such issues more clear...)
  • the ones on github are the oldest ones, I'm adding them roughly chronologically. We can add help wanted, sure. I think Rintze's thinking was that it's self explanatory that that'd be the case, but harm adding it, I suppose.
  • Hi. Sorry to hear it seems you are overwhelmed, and thanks again for the reply. I hope you manage to catch up on the backlog, and get some more assistance! Good luck with it all...
  • Hi. Was just wondering what the update is on the waiting time for this request? Looking possible to get down before the end of this year by any chance?
