Why do I suddenly get the above error message when trying to insert a citation in a document? All is uptodate.

    Well, it fixed itself before I was able to produce a debug ID. Still strange, tho.

    I realise this comment is almost four years old, but I started getting the same message today out of the blue.
    I re-installed Zotero Standalone, removed and re-added the Chrome extension, rebooted, and still I get this message.
    How did it 'fix itself' for you?
