Hierarchical item types

Hi

Is there any update or further information on adding hierarchical item types to Zotero (eg book chapters as a sub item of a book item). I noticed it's listed on the Feature Request page and has a ticket (https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/210) but the ticket hasn't been updated in over 5 years.

I would find this feature useful as I often work with books with editors and chapters by different authors.

FYI, there was a long discussion dating back to 2007 about this topic. I would love to see this implemented (though I understand there are considerable technical hurdles involved). It would allow organization of references in fantastic new ways.
