Automatic Snapshot

Just upgraded to the latest release of Zotero -- absolutely phenomenal. I went about taking advantage of the new ability to index JSTOR's PDFs, when I ran across a problem: instead of saving a snapshot of the page automatically (as I have checked in options) it merely stores a JSTOR link. It does at least manage to download the PDF and index it.

The problem is that I access JSTOR via EZproxy, and the link that's being saved is the direct link rather than the proxy link, which the snapshot used to do. This isn't useful to me. It's not such a big deal when the PDFs are now fully text searchable, but it'd be nice to at least have the JSTOR link be EZproxied (proxified?)

No problems otherwise. Phenomenal work. This is making collecting material for my thesis so much easier!
  • Elio: we removed automatic snapshot capture from the JSTOR translator because it only saved the first page. Instead, we support full article PDF download (as long as you have the "Automatically attach associated PDFs..." preference set).
  • Elio -- you're right that it might make sense to save an EZproxy link instead of the main link, though I guess there might be value in both. We'll consider making that change. Thanks for the suggestion.
