Problem with pubmed and DOI

Report ID1928034395

I have a problem with my laptop since win10 upgrade 2days ago, if not a coincidence. Pub med is only saved as web page and when I try to enter DOI or pubmed id there is no connection. I have reboot the pc after re-installation of both firefox 39 and zotero 4.0. Any help?
  • Start by temporarily disabling your other Firefox extensions.

If that doesn't help, provide a Debug ID for a save attempt that fails.
  • There is no general issue with Zotero/Windows 10/PubMed. You'll have to provide more details for us to help you troubleshoot the issue. Please see https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues and provide the details from step 11. Particularly, Zotero/browser versions, URLs you're saving from, DOIs/PMIDs you're trying to import.

    The Debug ID is D111080977.
    Mozilla settings checked.
    Any idea?Thx
  • not sure what you mean by "Mozilla settings checked" but please do follow the requested troubleshooting and info steps from both Dan and aurimas, i.e.
Start by temporarily disabling your other Firefox extensions.
(unless that's what you mean by checking mozilla settings)
    and then
provide the details from step 11. Particularly, Zotero/browser versions, URLs you're saving from, DOIs/PMIDs you're trying to import.
  • Mozilla settings checked: Firefox extensions disabled and Firefox privacy settings not blocking cookies.

This is working in my desktop pc.
However in my laptop pubmed site can only saved as web page the last two days. When I try to import doi, nothing is happening.
    Firefox 39, Zotero 4.0.28.
    Thx in advance,

Your Debug ID had other extensions enabled, and it didn't cover an entire failed save attempt. Can you try again?

Not sure what's going on here — this is trying to save from a DOI? — but try resetting your translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences. If that doesn't help, provide another Debug ID for trying to save from PubMed.

No change after reseting the translator.
The previous attempt was saving from a DOI.
This one is saving pubmed page only as web page as it is not recognized as DOI
    The Debug ID is D896932295.
  • Sorry, if it's not recognizing the page we actually need debug output for loading the page, not for saving.
  • The Debug ID is D627158390 for loading the pubmed page.

All of sudden without any change implemented now seems to be working after 2 days of desperation as try to write a medical paper.
Thx for your help, hoping not to come across this mystery again in the near future.
  • I'm guessing resetting translators actually fixed it. You would've had to reload the page to see the change.
  • I do not know if the translator resetting was the case as I had done it three times with Mozilla reboot before with no result.
    Anyway thx.
