Zotero Office "add-in" for iPad?
The latest version of Word for iPad added support for Office Addins, which are JavaScript based cross platform Office apps that run inside of Word, Excel, etc.
Here is the developer documentation - https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj220082(v=office.15).aspx
Is there any effort underway to create a Zotero add-in for Word? I know we have the desktop Word add-in but making something through the official API would allow Zotero to be used in Word on mobile devices and through the web.
I'm currently learning coding and this might be an interesting exercise, but I first wanted to check in with the community.

sxflynnSpecifically, a Word Addin would actually be what Microsoft terms a "task pane app" - documentation here - https://msdn.microsoft.com/EN-US/library/office/jj554660.aspx

mwaiteI would love this as a feature!

bwiernikNo one is currently working on such an add-in (either a core Zotero developer or a community member) as far as I am aware, and the core developers are unlikely to do so in the near future.
