In search results, please show collection membership

I often search for papers in a fairly large Zotero group (I use the Firefox Zotero plugin). This group contains numerous collections and sub-collections.

In the returned list of items for a search, I'd really like to be able to see which collection each item belongs to. This would help me to curate this group and ensure that I save papers into the right collections.

    You're aware of Collections Containing an Item?

    Given that items can exist in an unlimited number of collections, showing the collections in a column is sort of illogical. (Best it could do would be an alphabetized, comma-separated list, but there'd be no limit on the length of that list. At the very least, it wouldn't really work without changing the middle pane to allow horizontal scrolling, which we've considered but which isn't without its downsides.)

    Thanks for the response, and sorry for the delay in replying. That's exactly what I need. It doesn't seem to work in the Firefox plugin on Linux - is it a Zotero standalone-only feature?

    It would be great to have this in the right-click menu for an item, so that it's "findable".

    I was mistaken - it DOES work for me on Firefox on Linux (though the Alt key is double-bound - it also causes the Firefox menu to appear and disappear as a side-effect). Anyway - I have the functionality I need, so thanks!

    I'd just enable this by default and automatically highlight collections containing the item.
