A citation like "Portuguese Studies...but in portuguese?

I there, i'm looking for a citation style like Portuguese Studies, that can insert a full citation in the core of the text (instead of footnote or endnote)but that actualy cites in portuguese. Can anyone give me a hand on this?
Thank you in advance
  • Try Chicago Manual of Style (author-date) with Portuguese locale
  • By "with Portuguese locale" I mean that you should select Chicago Manual of Style (author-date) style and then select Portuguese as the language. You will need to have Zotero 4.0.27 or later to see the language selection option.
  • I there, thank you but:

It doesn't work for me. I need to have the option to cite a full citation within the text, like this:
Ricardo Michael Telles, ‘A Velha Igreja de Bambolim’, A Voz de São Francisco Xavier, IV (1934), 88 (p. 88)

if i use chicago i'll have this: (Telles, 1934)

This citation was made using Portuguese Studies and it works fine because it is citing an article of a scientific magazine. If i use a link for a website i have a problem:

Alice Santiago Faria, ‘Igreja Santo André, Vasco’, Portal HPIP, 2012 <http://www.hpip.org/Default/pt/Homepage/Obra?a=1563>; [accessed 26 June 2012]

the information about the date of access is in english.

So the question is: Is there a citation format for me?
  • or, another workaround would be: how can i change the code of the citation i need (in the needed fields) without damaging it...
  • I'm a little surprised that you think Portuguese studies works without notes/endnotes. It doesn't. It's just a copy of the Modern Humanities Research Association style, which will definitely insert all citation into notes.

I'm not aware of any style in Zotero that inserts full notes in the text, as that would make very little sense for citation purposes.

It's possible to customize styles, though:

  • thank you @adamsmith,

Sorry if I mislead the community but I really don't think that. It happens that this citation format fits my needs for a particular document that needs no endnotes. That is it.

Thank you for for the link thought. If there is no other way I'll have to try that
