Pubmed July 3 2015 httpS secure enforcement

pubmed seems to add enforcement of secure httpS all of a sudden just before July 4 holiday, which I believe is responsible for failure of saving pubmed citations into zotero. Temporary workaround seems to be click on the new Zotero icon pulldown and save as webpage.

Hope this can be fixed soon.

What URL are you saving from and what makes you think that it's an issue with HTTPS?

pubmed obviously

pubmed.gov fails in firefox since that redirects to http
changing to https gets in. chrome seems more forgiving on this for some reason. By the way I cleared cache, updated firefox and rebooted.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18344340 gives HTTP for me.

edit: How exactly do you end up at that HTTPS URL? E.g. https://scholar.google.com/scholar?start=10&hl=en&as_sdt=0,30&cluster=13073298695668619371 links to the regular HTTP page at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25343481, and I'm not being redirected to HTTPS.

both HTTP and HTTPS urls work for me in Firefox and Chrome for both access and Zotero import.

Not sure what you mean here? Are you saying you're not able to access pubmed via HTTP url at all?

this morning things are back to working normally (pubmed.gov redirection, zotero save citn); possibly from my report to NCBI
