Zotero Standalone extension unavailable
Hello,
I've recently installed Zotero Standalone and the Chrome extension as required for a graduate class I'm taking. However, the "Z" tile vanishes from the extension bar at the top of my browser window as soon as I finish adding the extension to Chrome. When I go to the Chrome extensions management section it tells me that Zotero Standalone is currently unavailable. Deletion and reinstall have not helped the problem. Any solutions?
Cheers,
-Ell.

Could you confirm you're not seeing a book icon in the URL bar here?
http://www.worldcat.org/title/wealth-of-nations-books-i-iii/oclc/8424650&referer=brief_results
Just to be clear -- this is what you should be seeing:
https://www.zotero.org/support/getting_stuff_into_your_library#web_translators
If you're not, please provide a debug ID from the Chrome connector for loading or reloading the worldcat page above:

The debug ID I got was D969330938.
Thanks!
So now I can see the folder in the corner, but it's not there for all webpages. My professor gave us the understanding that Zotero would work for any webpage- does it only work for academic or library-related websites?
Also- the toolbar with the extension icons is in the same line as the "favorites" star in the address bar, so I've always considered them sort of the same thing; sorry for the confusion.
For any site where you don't get the icon in the URL bar, you can use the "Save as Zotero Snapshot" option on right-click that you previously discovered.
It's me again with another challenge using the Zotero bibliographic software.
I do not see the "article" icon in the web browser. I saw it yesterday and used it to add several sources to my research. Today it's NOT there. I've restarted Zotero, my computer, and all open tabs. Did I miss an update or something?
