Search from documentation page fails to produce results
The search field on the menu bar of the main documentation page isn't returning results. When I enter any term (say, proxy) and click the search button; I am taken to another page (https://www.zotero.org/search/type/documentation/q/proxy) that is another search screen with the searched-for word already in the search field. Clicking to search I am taken back to the same screen.
There is a sentence at the bottom of the second search screen that refers me to a forum search option. Clicking that in-line link opens a third search screen where I can enter my query term again and, from that search, I do receive results. The listing of forum posts may not be what I want. I cannot find a way to search the actual documentation for a definitive answer to my question.
The ability to search the forums is indeed helpful but going through a zillion forum posts to find answers -- some of which may be years out of date -- is tedious. I am an experienced Zotero user and can quickly view and ignore irrelevant posts. New users are likely to find this process frustrating. This frustration is likely magnified by the click obstacle course to get away from the Google search.
Perhaps, the Google-connected search option should be eliminated.
Is there a way to search the documentation pages? If so, I'm not seeing it. I seem to recall that a search of only the formal documentation was available but the last time I tried to use that was long ago.
I also seem to remember something about this issue being raised before. I tried to find the relevant posts but when I enter "search" (with or without quotes) within the forum search utility the items primarily include comments on the basic and advanced library search within the Zotero program. I also receive false-drop posts that contain the word "research", "searcher", etc.
My ability to script or program is all but nil. However, I am an expert at making search index terms and thesauri simple for novices to easily and productively use to find what they need. I volunteer my assistance if it may be helpful.

adamsmiththis used to work -- quite well, too. Should be a simple fix for fcheslack.

DWL-SDCAMaybe it was the transition to all https?

fcheslackIt was not a change by us (and I believe it only changed earlier today). We had been using a deprecated google API and they finally cut us off. For now we're going to redirect queries to the appropriate site specific DuckDuckGo.
