Change appearance of a single citation with MS Word plugin
I am using the Zotero plugin for MS Word with a citation format that normally makes references appear as superscripts in the text (American Institute of Physics). Every now and then I would like to refer to the reference directly in the text, as in "...see Ref. 23". If I insert the citation with Zotero, it looks like "...see Ref. 23". I can use Word to undo the superscript, but each time the bibliography refreshes it comes back as a superscript. I can remove the subscript format by editing the citation using the Zotero plugin, but then the reference no longer updates.
Does anyone know how to make this work? Thanks!

adamsmithsorry, I don't think there's a way to make this work that both changes the formatting permanently and doesn't stop the citation from updating.
