Cannot sync anymore

As of today, when I try to sync my zotero library on my acer chromebook running crouton, the sync doesn't happen, I get an exclamation point icon next to the sync icon and if I click that I get the error message
this._leftpane.ref.getField is not a function
Here is the bug report number that generates.

    Try with all other Firefox add-ons disabled. If that works, you can re-enable them one-by-one. Let us know if you identify the culprit.

    It was addblock plus. Turns out it was blocking the popup that asks about differences between the local and remote versions of files.

    you can try enabling that again and I'd guess it will keep working. Thousands of people are using Zotero and adblock plus together without issues.
