Chicago Style: Multiple sources in one endnote?

Hi, I'm using Chicago style's notes to cite sources. I'm using notes only, which means there will be detailed notes instead of a bibliography.

At various places in the text, citing multiple sources at the end of a sentence would lend further support to the sentence, but the Chicago Manual of Style prohibits using more than one note reference at a single location like this:

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.1, 2

The manual does allow one workaround at 14.52: Put multiple sources under the same number. So in this example, I would just have the 1, and both sources would be listed under the same superscript number at the end of the text, separated by semicolons.

My question is how I can get this to work in Zotero with the LibreOffice plugin. I know how to insert citations, but I don't know how to insert more than one citation at the same superscript.

Does Zotero have this feature yet?
  • Yes. Just type into the popup widget again after adding the first cite bubble.
  • detailed version here: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#citations_with_multiple_cited_items
  • Thank you very much! That's exactly what I needed.
