Upgrade StorageAutomatic tags import even when preferences set to stop this
I have just exported >2000 articles from EMBASE to Zotero and all of the automatic tags have come across with them, despite unchecking the 'Automatically tag items with keywords and subject headings' option in Preferences prior to export. Is there an option to delete all automatic tags once they are in the program?

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to remove tags from multiple items. The best option is a bit involved https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/client_coding/javascript_api#batch_editing
This feature could be a good addition to Zutilo add-on until Zotero gains batch editing functionality. Feature request created here: https://github.com/willsALMANJ/Zutilo/issues/36
