Restoring data & and Mac OS compatibility

Hi all,

I am a researcher and have a pretty long bibliography saved on my Zotero profile.

My one and only experience with restoring was somewhat touch and go - the restore didn't work from the backups I has saved, and I was lucky enough to get the data through syncing with the Zotero server.

So, can someone please give me detailed instructions about how to backup my Zotero information and perform a successful restore on the new OS?

Second, does anyone know of compatibility issues with OS X Yosemite or Mavericks?

    No compatibility issues.

    if anything is unclear, ask (you don't appear to have posted on the forums when you tried to restore from back-up last time, so hard to say what didn't work then).

    There are no known compatibility issues with Yosemite and Maverick and a pretty large crowd using one or the other.
