Difficulty of changing "p." to ":" in SpringerSocPsych

Hi,

I'm finalizing a book manuscript for Springer press, in an archaeology series. I have been told to use the SpringerSocPsych citation format and downloaded the Zotero style from the repository. It looks fine, except for in-text citations. Instead of using "Author Date:PGS", it uses "Author Date, p.PGS". Everything else seems the same/correct, especially in the bibliographic format, so I am loathe to use a different style.

Scanning the forums, it seems like changing the page number format in the CSL language is not a straightforward thing, but maybe I just haven't looked hard enough. Does anyone know how I do this?
  • The style in the repo seems fine: https://www.zotero.org/styles/?q=springer-socpsych-author-date . Are you using the same style?

I just grabbed it last night. When I change the style I was using to SpringerSocPsych, all of my in-text citations shift from (to take an example):

    (Richards 2002:79–88)

    to

    (Richards 2002, pp. 79–88)

which is neither correct according to Springer's style guide, nor is it standard in my field.
  • Yes, but (author date, locator) looks fine for Springer styles. To which documentation are you refering to?
  • Actually, looks like they've changed it recently, and the current Zotero style reflects that change. I stand corrected--sorry for the confusion, and thanks.
