Zotero-EndNote compatibility problems?

Today I tried using Zotero and EndNote on the same computer and had numerous problems with both programs (e.g., even with EndNote closed Zotero icons would not appear in browser, Zotero Word plug-in did not display; EndNote program would not remain open, EndNote Word functions didn't work).

Would anyone know if this is because the two programs conflict with one another? If so, is there a workaround? If not, any ideas on what else might be wrong? Thank you!

That's not something we're aware of, no. Using both in the same document could easily cause problems, but I have Endnote installed for testing and have never had any issues and I know that many librarians have both installed without issues. So this could well be something else entirely (e.g. some security sofware or so -- it seems like a lot of your problems have to do with different components of software communicating).

Make sure they don't display here:

if they don't run through
http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
and if 1-10 don't help, make sure to report all the information requested under 11. In this case, a debug ID for reloading the worldcat page (or another page that you _know_ works with Zotero) would also be useful. Detailed instructions are on that page.
