Chicago - disambiguation help

To meet my department's citation standards, I am modifying Chicago Manual 16th ed. w/o Ibid. I needed to suppress the title in subsequent citations to just be [author-lastname, page], so based on another thread here, I tried removing <text macro="title-short"/>, which did the trick. The trouble is, now when I have multiple works by the same author, it disambiguates those by adding the date, when I need it to disambiguate by adding the title instead (so it would be author-lastname, title, page). Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks.
  • check out Modern Humanities Research Association, which does that.
    It's basically using
<if disambiguate="true">... but seeing an example might help.
  • actually, that style works almost perfectly - the only thing i need to do is figure out how to remove the "p. " before the page number
  • it's <label variable="locator"/>
  • thanks. the only problem now is that i basically need to have my citations be MHRA and my bibliography in Chicago :(
