Deleting from Trash

How do I delete an item from Trash? I have updated the number of days to keep in Trash to zero, but they are still there.
Need to resolve this as i have hit my storage limit and I don't need to keep some historical items.

    Select the Trash (in the left pane), delete item(s) with Del key.

    Or, to remove all items from the trash: right-click on Trash (in the left pane) -> Empty Trash.
