Word plugin in Mac is not working

Hello,
I got a new mac computer and have issues with the zotero app in word. I did the following:

1. I installed the adds-on in Firefox plus the word mac integration (latest versions). Open the zotero library in Firefox and synch. Keeping this open,
2. I Opened a word doc and it shows the zotero adds.
3. I Tried to enter a citation or click on any zotero function and nothing happens. No Zotero functionality seems to work.
4. I opened a word document with previous zotero references (a word document created in another computer) and the references are highlighted in grey. I tried to edit a citation or updated it, nothing happens.

I had re-install the plugin several times, and same situation.
I'm using an OX X Yosemite V. 10.10.2 and word 2011.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    If none of that helps and you're not getting any error messages, please produce a Debug ID and an Error ID for trying to perform any Zotero action in Word.

    @paolagonza12, can you describe exactly what you did to generate the Debug ID? Specifically, which buttons did you click and in what order?

    The issue is that zotero plug in does not work in word. I successfully open and synch the library in Firefox and all ads-on seem to be there..but when trying to use any functionality in word, it does not work at all.

    "does not work at all" doesn't really help us help you. Please describe exactly what functionality is not working (even if nothing is working, describe, for instance, how exactly you are trying to insert a citation), which buttons you click, and what error messages, if any, you are receiving.

    I did this:

    1. Open the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences. You can access the Zotero preferences from the gear menu in the Zotero toolbar. (In Zotero for Firefox, you can also access the Zotero preferences via the Firefox preferences.)

    2. Click “Enable” under Debug Output Logging.

    3. Immediately perform the relevant action (syncing, saving, importing, etc.). (Here I tried to enter a citation in the word document)

    4. Before doing anything else, click “Submit to Zotero Server” in the Advanced pane of the preferences. After uploading the output, Zotero will provide a Debug ID that you can post to the forums. There's no need to post the actual debug output.
    Disable debug output logging and click “Clear Output”.

    If I understand correctly, just nothing happens when paola clicks any of the Zotero add-on buttons/menu items.

    Hi. I run Mac with Word 2011. I installed Zotero for a while was good, now is not working anymore (I reinstalled Zotero Standalone or with Firefox plugin more time...)

    now here the two messages of word:
    First message
    "Impossibile caricare Visual Basic, Applications Editionszssicurarsi che sia installano nel computer. Se è installato, assicurarsi che il percorso della cartella di installazione non includa caratteri non compresi nella tabella codici di sistema, ad esempio caratteri cirillici in un sistema inglese, e che contenga meno di 255 caratteri.

    Second message
    The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -1712.) @ getDocument: application.m:81 The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus erro -1712.) @getDocument:application.m:81" when calling method: zoteroIntegrationApplication::getDocument.

    if not, please start a new thread (red "Start a New Discussion" button at the top left of this page). Since you're getting a clear error message, you don't have the same issue as paola.
