"Tag is not" vs. attachments

Hello,

When I create a saved search with "Tag is not mytag", entries that
- have the tag mytag
- but also have an attachment that has not been tagged with mytag
show.

That's somewhat counter intuitive: It's not even possible in the UI to assign tags directly to attachments (though the quick tagging with number keys works).

Any thoughts?

    You can assign tags to attachments directly. There is a field in the attachment right pane for tags (and one for related items). To make your saved search work, add a condition "Item Type" "is not" "Attachment"

    It's also possible to select "only show top level items".
