Import Springer book as a whole

When I try to import a book (using "Save to Zotero" in Safari), e.g.

http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-540-34514-5

I will get one entry for each chapter. (A window appears with a list of chapters to import.) There are circumstances when one wants to save only particular chapters, but often one wants to get the whole book.

Possible solution: Make the translator list the whole book as one option in the list of chapters to select for the import. That way the user can decide.
  • In Firefox you can right click on the collection icon in the url and choose the doi translator, which will in your example give you the metadata about the whole book.
  • (user is on Safari, unfortunately in this case)
We went with the chapter option on purpose because it seemed more useful, but it might be an option to add the book to the select dialog--will definitely make the code more complicated, but we'd have to see by how much.
  • Thanks for your answers.

This would be particularly advantageous since the import translator downloads pdfs as well, and in this case the pdf for the complete book can be obtained easily from the Springer page for the book.
