full note without bibliography

Hi there,
our organisation authors reports where all referencing is done within footnotes or endnotes. The reports have no additional bibliography. This means full reference incl. author, title, publisher, place, year, including ibid or truncated author/title if repeated. I have trawled all available Zotero styles and also looked on the CSL style finder page and can't find anything suitable which I could use to edit the style for the fine details. Does this not exist?

Here are some examples how we would reference:
T Bottoms, Djabugay country, Allen & Unwin, St Leonards, NSW, 1992, pp. 1–17.

F Claffey, ‘Preliminary report to the Djabugay Tribal Aboriginal Corporation: Djabugay native title rights and interests in the Barron Falls National Park’, confidential report to Djabugay Tribal Aboriginal Corporation, Cairns, 1995

A Holden & R Duffin, Negotiating Aboriginal Interests in tourism projects: The Djabugay People, the Tjapukai Dance Theatre and the SkyRail project, Research Paper, no. 4, March 1998, Centre for Australian Public Sector Management, Griffith University, 1998, p. 12.

Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department website, ‘The future acts regime’ http://www.ag.gov.au/www/agd/agd.nsf/Page/Indigenouslawandnativetitle_Nativetitle_Thefutureactsregime#section1, accessed 23 June 2009.

T Bauman, ‘Shifting sands’, Oceania vol. 71, no. 3, 2001, pp. 202–25.

Holden & Duffin, above n 18, p. 14.

The style for referencing follows the Australian Style guide for authors, publishers and printers, a standard work used by all government departments.

The closes style I found is Harvard - The University of Melbourne style which is an author-date style. We would need to manipulate it to work within footnotes and would make some minor changes, e.g. position of First name, year, and for web pages the date accessed (accessed 2 June 2014).

Can you help with this?

Kind regards Chris
  • Sorry, I'm not quite sure what the actual question is?
There are some full note styles -- Chicago and MHRA most notably -- that you could use.
If you need specific help with editing an existing style, we'd need more specific questions about that. We can help, but we can't walk you through every step of it.
  • Just recognised my mistake as I created a footnote in my text and then entered the zotero citation in the footnote whereas i am supposed to enter the zotero reference in the text and zotero will create the footnote + reference. Ok that's solves now we require the changes to the Chicago full note referencing style so that it matches our style.

I understand that you can't walk me through our changes but maybe you could hint on where I would find help or instructions how to change a style. In the CSL visual editor where do i enter the changes in the inline citation section of the bibliography section?
How do I change e.g. the publisher comes before the publication location and no brackets, as outline above. or how to change from author full name to author initial no dot?

    Many thanks for your patience

    Chris
