Style Request: University of Oxford Faculty of History (dependent style apart from one change)

I'd be very grateful if this style would be created, as the Oxford History Faculty is very large and many of its members use Zotero.
As far as I can see, the style would be dependent upon an existing style called 'Early Medieval Europe'.
However, there are two differences, further details for which are below.
1. 'Early Medieval Europe' does not include the possibility of inserting a bibliography, so the bibliography would ideally be included.
2. 'Early Medieval Europe', when I tested it at least, did not seem to function with websites.

With many thanks.

NOTES ON THE ABOVE CHANGES REQUIRED
1. Bibliographies.
The Oxford History Faculty style asks that bibliographies are ordered alphabetically by surname, with surname given first.
e.g. Elton, G.R., Reform and Renewal: Thomas Cromwell and the Common Weal (Cambridge, 1973).
It also asks that the bibliography should be divided into (1) Manuscript and archival sources, (2) Printed primary sources, (3) Printed secondary works [i.e., modern or relatively modern materials in the form of books, articles, etc.], and (4) Unpublished theses. - however if this poses difficulties for the style builder this can be done by hand by the individual??

2. Websites and online resources should be given with date of access.
For example: 'Maghrib', Encyclopædia Britannica Online Academic Edition, accessed 16 May 2012, at www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/356614/Maghrib.
  • Someone told me that all Oxford humanities follows New Hart's Rules
    https://zotero.org/styles?q=Hart
    is that not the case?

Beyond that, I'm sorry to say that we don't customize citation styles for individual universities or department. You can see if you can/want to figure it out yourself:

    On sorting bibliographies, see here:

  • Hi adamsmith, thanks for the advice.
New Hart's Rules, which I hadn't looked at (I think I must have not looked at the full list) is from what I can see the same as the publisher Oxford University Press. This differs in a few ways from the university's history faculty.
But that's very understandable that you don't customize citation styles for individual universities or departments. (And to be honest I don't know why my faculty have to be so difficult in picking a set of rules which don't exist in the same combination anywhere else!!)
    Thanks again.

  • Hi lwwhelan,
did you manage to sort that out? I am at in need for that one too so any tips regarding Oxford History Faculty would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    K
