Include folder tree in search results

The names of folders in the directory tree should be included in search results. It is strange, that when searching for a term that appears in the name of a folder, one can get a "no results" page.
  • Where exactly are you searching? I'm not really sure what you would expect Zotero to display if a search query matches a collection name. All items in the collection? It certainly wouldn't make sense to display the collection itself, since collections are never displayed alongside items.
  • The use case is as follows. You are searching for a certain topic, lets say "Business Process". Although you do have three folders containing this term in their name ("Business Processes", "Business Process Mining", "Business Process Reengineering") within your huge tree of collections, you will not get aware of them during this search activity. Of course, you are likely to get a list of results, some of which will likely be part of some of these folders. But this is true only if the items contain the term as well.

My suggestion would be to (either/both) highlight the matching directories in the tree, the same way as it is the case when you hit ALT on one of the items; or to include them in the list of search results.

On my Mac, for example, when searching for e.g. "Informatics" using spotlight, I do get a list of matching folders. It totally makes sense to me.

Maybe the reason why you think that "it wouldnt make sense to display the collection itself" is because you conceive search in Zotero more as "filtering of items" instead of a "search for stuff" use case?
