not working with latest version of firefox

I just updated firefox to firefox 28, then lost my zotero icon at the bottom of the screen. I downloaded it again, then tried to download the firefox add-on, but a message came up saying that zotero is not compatible with this version of firefox.

Please advise!

    Current version of Firefox is 35. Current extended release version of Firefox is 31. Zotero will work with either of those, but not anything before 31.
