library doesn't load

Hi, Love Zotero and often recommend to colleagues & friends. But I have a problem:

Syncing is set to auto, but last sync says "95 days ago". Storage folder in c:/......profiles says its got 207 folders using 265MB; zot.sqlite at 10MB. Server library says I've got 170 items, which is probably about right (I thought there'd be more but.....) Whatever, size doesn't appear to be an issue.

Problem is when I click Zotero icon (in Firefox 4.0.8), library is empty, except for msg "Loading items list....". If I start a manual sync, the wheel just keeps on spinning with no result. The location data directory appears to be correct. But my library appears to be empty! Not a good look when you go to show someone how neat Zotero is!! Any ideas on what's (not) happening?
  • If you mean you're using Zotero 4.0.8, update. You should be at 4.0.24.1
    We can continue from there.
  • Well, whaddaya know - problem solved :-) Thx heaps
  • Hello! I have the similar problem, but when I tried to download the new version, it downloaded 4.0.23 (for Mac), and I couldn't seem to get the 4.0.24 version. It thus still says "loading items list" when I installed the most up-to-date version on the site I could find - any advice? Thanks for your time!
  • Oh and I forgot to mention the Report ID is 858120576
  • for Standalone, 4.0.23 is up to date. Have you tried restarting your computer?
  • I did restart my computer, and the problem persists. The new error report idea is 1907137066. I'm going to try to install it one more time just in case I did something wrong.
  • Yeah trying to install the standalone version and restart it again didn't help either. My new report ID is 1131948277. Thanks for your response!
  • [JavaScript Error: "Component returned failure code: 0x8052000b (NS_ERROR_FILE_CORRUPTED) [mozIStorageStatement.executeStep]" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/db.js" line: 208}]"
Your database is corrupted. You can try the DB Repair Tool.
  • Thank you so much! That finally worked - you guys work magic!
