Report ID: 1679261335 - cannot save some things, but others
I tried to put some more papers in my zotero lib using the firefox extension. However, this fails for numerous pages, eg
http://www.opticsinfobase.org/boe/abstract.cfm?uri=boe-6-1-1 (which the report ID is based on) but also for
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1053811913012226
whereas a pubmed or a frontiers page can be stored without any problems.
just in case, I also submitted my debug output with ID D264703227 (also based on the optics page)

FF 34.0.5
Zotero 4.0.23
FF extension says 4.0.23.1
Note that I did not experience any problems initially. I started noticing these hickups just this year. Especially the sciencedirect.com page worked like a charm previously (also using a university proxy), not sure if the optics page worked before.
I can also paste the error & debug reports here if it helps.
got another issue now, but I'll first check the forum and then open another thread if the problem persists
thanks for the help
The message title would be changed with each update.
I wish that there was a quick and painless way to know the current Zotero version.
As suggested in the thread Rintze showed us; I visit the troubleshooting page. Step 1 suggests that I upgrade to the most recent version and provides guidance on how to check the installed version. However, there is no indication on that page of the current version number. There is a link to the Zotero download page that "always leads to the most recent Zotero versions". However, that page doesn't list the most current version number. I need to click the version history link to learn the version number. I would love to know if I have the most recent version without clicking on the version history link. I suspect that others would also like an easier way to check to see if their Zotero version is current. I know to go directly to the version history. The traffic on the forums suggests that most folks don't think of doing that as there is no guidance to suggest that is the way to learn the current version number.
