    I think this happens when the attachment base directory you set in the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences doesn't exist anymore.

    Oh, yes, indeed; I forgot to change name of the external drive on my secondary computer, as I had hardware recently. Great, thank you, this sounds straightforward and logical...

    (It still shouldn't cause an error, though, and we've fixed that in the latest version, which isn't yet available in Standalone form.)
