Issue of publication year

Hi all,

I found that sometimes zotero will only recognize the improper publication date instead of the one for citation. For example, the webpage shows

J. Proteome Res., 2010, 9 (1), pp 626–635
DOI: 10.1021/pr900771r
Publication Date (Web): November 10, 2009

Zotero graps the year 2009, but 2010 should be the one for citation. In cases with multiple dates (acceptance date, online publication date, ...), and those dates are at in the end of the year, Zotero may misidentify the date.

Is there any way to avoid that?

Thanks,

-HH
  • This varies from site to site and is generally just the way the website presents the metadata. If you have specific web pages where this is not working correctly we can take a look and maybe compensate on import. Otherwise, these errors should be reported tot he publisher (but we'll take a look first to make sure Zotero is doing the right thing).
  • Is it from this website http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/pr900771r ? The article has a web publication date and a different print publication date. Both dates are stored in the RIS export file, which Zotero will AFAIK use. Is the publisher ACS consistent with this practice?
