MacBook Air doesn't import all files from google scholar

So i recently purchased a macbook air and also downloaded zotero standalone. I am preparing a literature review about workplace lost time in small enterprises. The problem that keeps occuring is that once I have made the search, I find about 208 relevant articles. Now, when I click the Z in my safari tab, It only manages to detect about 8 of the sources and I need all 208 in my library. Would someone be able to help me out as to what I'm doing wrong. I have also recently made the switch from a PC to a MAC so im unsure if it may be a problem with my settings or just the program (Zotero) in general.

All the help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Fizza A
  • I recommend that you use Google Scholar to identify relevant articles but that you click through to the publishers' sites to download metadata into Zotero. More often, the metadata from GoogleScholar is incomplete or even completely wrong. GS links to the article on publisher sites is almost always correct. Added benefit: if your institution has a subscription, you can also get full text
  • Google Scholar is obviously still supposed to work, though.

Fizza, it sounds like maybe you're confusing the total number of search results from GS and the number of results disabled on a single page of results? Zotero only saves the latter, so you'd have to click through to successive pages to save additional results.
  • (If that's not the issue, I think you'll have to describe the problem in more detail, including an example search term.)
