citation and bibliography link lost

I am working on a Word manuscript that I store in Dropbox. Problem is that on an iMac (OSX 10.10.1), links between citations and bibliography are broken. When I access the manuscript on a 13" Macbook Pro (OSX 10.10.1) or a PC (Windows 7) the links are present. All 3 computers have standalone Zotero 4.0.23 and libraries are synced. Anyone has any idea how to fix this problem?

    What exactly do you mean by this? The bibliography doesn't update? When you try to edit a citation Zotero says that it's not in your database?

    On the iMac, when I click on a citation in the manuscript or on the bibliography, it doesn't gray out (suggesting the citation and reference in the bibliography is linked). It does gray out on the laptop and PC. On the iMac both the citation and bibliography appear to be plain text.

    The bibliography updates fine on the laptop and PC. I haven't tried updating a citation on the iMac.

    That could just be a difference in display settings (you can change this in Word). Try editing an existing citation. If that doesn't work, we can troubleshoot further.
