Right click, attach link target to currently selected reference

Sometimes a translator will not save a linked PDF for whatever reasons. Or you're looking at an author's website providing a lot of PDFs. In such cases you want a simple, one-click way of adding a given PDF to a given record. (Currently, the only way is 1. downloading the PDF in some folder, 2. opening that folder in the file manager, 3. dragging the PDF onto the record in Zotero).

It should be quite simple to add an option to the context menu, such that when right clicking on the link to the PDF I can choose 'attach link target to currently selected item'. It would be another of those simple, timesaving procedures that make you realize why it is so handy that Zotero lives in the browser.
  • We can add this, but note that you can already either A) right-click on a link, choose "Save Link as Zotero Snapshot", and drag the new snapshot onto the parent item or B) drag a web page link directly on top of a Zotero item to save the target file as a child attachment.
  • Great! I wasn't aware of option B, it solves my problem.

Option A is only useful in a limited number of cases, as the new snapshot usually doesn't end up close to the reference it's related to. The availability of Option A actually inspired my question - I think more users may want to attach files from the web to existing refs than dump them in the library on their own.
