"Publikation" in the right window of journal articles
I use the German language version of Zotero. When I work on a journal article the bibliographic fields emerge in the right window. Just underneath the Abstract field the “Publikation” field comes. Structurally, it should mean the Journal Title, for example: The American Journal of Surgery.
On the other Hand, it could mean: a publication TYPE, e.g.: Metaanalysis, Original Article, Letter to the Editor, etc.
Furthermore: some fields further “downstairs” there comes the “Journal Abk.” (=Journal Name Abbreviation)
Is “Publikation” really the Journal name?

markedited November 22, 2008It is supposed to be, yes. (Publication types like the ones you suggest are not available for the item type 'journal article'.) I agree that this is probably not the clearest translation. 'Journal' or 'Zeitschrift' might be better.
