Z does not appear in Firefox or Download articles
I have recently purchased a Macbook Air and just putting all the software I need on to it. I have downloaded Zotero with firefox and as a standalone yet there appears to be no Z in the tool bar. There is however, what looks to be a white bar graph appear. The drop down offers 'Run Autoexport now', 'Configure' and 'Support/changelog/Donation' and underneath those it says 'Zotero Autoexport: Zotero not found'.
Can anyone help with setting or what needs to be changed etc. Zotero works fine in MS Word and references without a problem, I just cannot add any new articles at all.
Thanks
Michael

Do you have Zotero (not Zotero Autoexport, which is a third-party add-on for Zotero) listed under about:addons -> Extensions? If so, what version. Also, what version Firefox do you have? See https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems#reporting_startup_errors for additional info you should provide.
Firefox 33.1.1
I have tried firefox only and standalone open but neither seem to help. been through the link you have attached and still nothing different.
Can you generate a real time debug log ( https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output#real-time_debug_output ) for starting up Firefox and email it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
I have just uninstalled and reinstalled to get 4.0.23.1 and the Z has now appeared in the toolbar.
However it still does not allow me to save a file to zotero (no icon in the toolbar).
