Zotero Library Record All Gone

I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome. So I had to app the Zotero App back to the browser. When I tried to save a bibliographical item to my library by clicking the book button at the end of the URL box (as usual), a pop-up window asked me to grant access to something and add key.. I clicked it and went back to my library on zotero but all my previous items are gone. What can I do???

    Chrome doesn't store any Zotero items, so that's likely unrelated. Where exactly are you looking for your Zotero items? Webpage? Zotero Standalone?

    To elaborate more on what adamsmith is saying, you should open up Zotero Standalone (which it seems that you were using before) and see if the items show up there. If that's the case, then it appears that Zotero Standalone was not syncing with your online account. See https://www.zotero.org/support/sync

    You should also have Zotero Standalone open when using the Zotero Chrome connector, because that will give you best results in terms of user experience and metadata quality.
