Is it possible to share a desktop library?

In particular, without using cloud storage.

Depends on the definition of "share" -- share as in just give it to someone else? Sure you can use export/import or even option A here:

If by share you mean "jointly use at the same time" the answer is no. Only way to do that is sync.
