format using bookmarks in docx document

I can't seem to do this as the moment I close the file and open it again, the format goes back to being referencemarks. This removes the links/dynamic fields in the citations, preventing me from making changes to them that will be reflected in the bibliography.

The problem does not occur with doc or odt documents.

I am using Mac OS 10.10, libreoffice 4.3.4.1, zotero firefox plugin 3.5.9 with libreoffice plugin integration.

    we can look, but generally LibreOffice's .docx implementation is quite bad, I'd try to avoid it as much as possible -- I've had all types of issues: corrupted files, missing comments, changing formatting. Their .doc seems to be much better.
