Word crashes when opening documents with Zotero-content
Hi everyone,
I have a big problem. I've just updated to Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). After this update, I can no longer open the Word documents that I have citations in. Word just stalls. Before the update I ran Word 2008. I tried to update to Word 2011 but what happens is that the document opens but after a couple of seconds Word just shuts down, no information or error message. I've installed the latest Zotero software from the website.
I can open a new Word-document and use Zotero without any problems, but I cant open the old ones. This is very frustrating since I have a lot of time invested in the work I have in the old documents.
Happy for all the help I can get!

FF or standalone?
Can you create and reopen new Word docs without any citations?
I have the Zotero for Firefox and the Word-plug in. I can open create and open Word docs without citations yes. I can also create a new doc and insert citations with Zotero and then re-open that one. But as soon as I try to re-open "old" documents from before the updates it crashes.
But yes, version numbers would be helpful. Also, if you could provide an error report ID from Zotero after a Word crash, that might have some info:
https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs#provide_a_report_id
I use Firefox 33.1, Zotero FF 4.0.23.1, Word plugin, Microsoft Word 2011. All this on OS X 10.10.
This is the error report ID: 877740351.
Thanks!
Think I solved the problem, or at least got some new insight. Seems I was a bit too quick to blame Zotero. After re-adding all the citations in one of the documents, I tried to add a comment in the document, just to find Word shutting down. Turns out that all the documents that crashed also had comments in them, so that's probably the cause, not Zotero.
Thanks for the help anyway!
