We've also experienced this error when using Zotero in Word:

    Actually, we managed to resolve this by copying the content to a fresh word document!
    But maybe the error message is still useful for debugging!

    I experience the same problem and failure-code, no matter in which Word-document though. It appears after clicking any button from the zotero-add-in. I have the firefox-Add-On and the Zotero Standalone. It happens no matter which one is currently open. I am working with Windows 7 and Word 2010 (updatet Zotero and Firefox today).

    Can someone please help me? I can't find a solution to this...
