Missing Library?

Hello,
I posted about missing my library on twitter and was advised to post in the forums. I logged on last night, added files and folders to my library. This morning, when I logged into a different computer, my account opened to no libraries.
Thank you for your guidance.
  • I was using Zotero manually(on a public computer).
    Thanks!
  • Just to confirm what you said on twitter, you logged on at zotero.org, and used the interface here: https://www.zotero.org/gemmab1/items/ correct?
  • and, you're sure you used the same account, both times? Not, say gemmab the first time and gemmab1 the second time?
  • Ahh I'm not sure, I guess I can go check. I didn't think that I had two accounts.
  • No, I only have one account for zotero.
  • I logged on last night, added files and folders to my library. This morning, when I logged into a different computer, my account opened to no libraries.
You'll have to clarify what you mean by "logged on" in both cases. But most likely you were either using a different account or you were using one of the clients (Zotero for Firefox or Zotero Standalone) and didn't sync.

Also note that the account you're posting from has only existed for a day, and has never had items online.
  • When I say logged on, I mean on 10/16 I registered, and using the standalone, added documents to the library. The next day, I logged in using the login info from the day before and the library had nothing in it.
  • there is no way to "log in" with Zotero standalone, though. You can put in your username and sync, if that's what you mean? But logging in on the _webpage_ and adding items to Zotero Standalone wouldn't connect the two.
  • Also, above, Aurimas asked you to confirm you were using the webpage to add items, which you said you did. But now you said you were using Zotero Standalone?
  • Okay, thank you for answering my question. I guess that was the problem.
