Zotero's Word intergration problem
Hello all,
I am a new user to Zotero, and I can't get Zotero to integrate with Word. I am running Word 2011 on a Mac (OS X 10.7.5). I have both the stand alone app and the Firefox extension installed.
When I click on any button in Word's Zotero tool bar, I can an dialog that reads, "Error in Loading DLL." If I try to run any of the scripts on the scripts menu, I get a dialog box that reads, "“Zotero could not perform this action. Please ensure that a document is open. If you have performed a custom installation of Office, you may need to run the installer again, ensuring that “Visual Basic for Applications” is selected.”
I have tried all of the solutions suggested in the Visual Basic Applications Error section of the Word Process Integration troubleshooting page. I have Word 2011 installed, and, as far as I can tell, Visual Basic is installed (there are many VB files in the word directory). I have the latest updates for Word installed. I am using the latest version of the Word integration plug in, and I have reinstalled it many times. There are no characters with diacritics in the path to Word.
Several times, I have moved the OLE Registration Database out of the preference folder, but restarting Word does not make the file regenerate. In fact, I deleted the entire Microsoft folder, and none of it regenerated after a Word relaunch.
One possible problem could be that I have Word 2008 and Word 2011 installed on this machine. I never use Word 2008, and it has never interfered with the opperation of Word 2011.
I would very much like to use Zotero. If any one can help me fix thi problem, I would very much appreciate it.
