Style Request Modern Language Association - Note with Bibliography
Hi - I need a bit of a hybrid style.
Angelaki
http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/journal.asp?issn=0969-725x&linktype=44
They say that they use MLA, but: from their editor
"Please find below MLA stylings for different items in notes and bibliography. _Angelaki_ prefers authors to provide both notes and bibliography. The below examples of notes are for authors who are not providing a separate bibliography. Where you are providing both notes and bibliography it is not necessary to provide information in the notes that will be given in the bibliography."
So it's not a full note, so long as I provide a bibliography (which I will). However, having looked at a recent journal article, they don't want the "print" or "web" at the end.
I'd just use MLA and stick the references in footnotes - but they use ibid. and that's the point where I need a proper note style.
Many thanks, Jon.

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Before commenting here, you should strongly consider starting a new discussion instead. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
I am also trying to format an article for Angelaki. Is it possible to share the hybrid style you created.
Thanks

If I can find it, of course !
If not, I'll see if I can remake one - though it's been a while since I played with the styles - how soon do you need it ?
Jon
I had a quick look at the Angelaki guide for authors - and currently, they just ask for :
"Work accepted for publication in the journal is required to conform to the Modern Language Association Handbook for Writers of Research Papers"
so no special hacking required - and there is an MLA 6th edition note style already available on the repository.

Thanks for the quick reply. I used the MLA style from zotero and it works alright. I was looking at the older articles that I used as reference and that was when I got confused. The relatively newer article confirms that MLA is ok.
here is the link to article just in case if someone else is lead out of track.
