Edit alphabet to a number
Hi,
I'm a new Zotero user. I'm finding difficulty viewing my citation note after adding a citation. I used all styles. Only the ones with notes show the note as a endnote. But all these styles have a roman number instead of metric system.
Can you help me fix this

Edit: err, sorry, meant to say numeric
As per your comment - I tried and it the bibilography doesnt come as a end note. It appears next to sentence.
I want the citation to be numbered in metric style instead of a roman number. End notes number can be changed but not the number next to the sentence.
If you want an actual note style, see my comment above.
If you just want number in text that refer to a numbered bibliography at the end (which would mean that every time you cite the same item it uses the same number) You'd want to use a numeric style as Aurimas suggests in his edited comment and use "insert bibliography" to see the corresponding references.
Can you point to a document or journal article that's referenced the way you want it to?
I'm not able to edit the number in the text. But i can just delete and put a new number in the endnote.
this is the journal i m looking to publish in

as per above:
Thank you so much for the assistance.
I use 'Vancouver' as citation style. The references are given as numbers consecutively in the text and in the bibliography. The numbers are then from 1 to ... to find again. Only they are obviously not sorted alphabetically in the bibliography.
Now my bibliography should be numbered from 1 to ..., but the surnames of the lead authors should also be sorted in alphabetical order, so that the reference numbers in the text are not numbered consecutively anymore.
Unfortunately I'm not able to change that and hope that someone can help me.
Thank you in advance.

It's pretty close to Vancouver and does exactly what you want wrt sorting.
